Sprunki Betters and Loses is a fan-made survival horror music game created by Pepper666. The mod divides its characters into three fate classifications—Betters, Loses, and EXE—and uses their different conditions to build a violent, story-driven Sprunki timeline.

The game combines a 140 BPM soundtrack in C major with transformed character designs, graphic injuries, EXE variants, weapons, and an expanded bonus roster. Players create music by placing characters onto the stage and layering beats, effects, melodies, and vocals.

What Is Sprunki Betters and Loses?

Sprunki Betters and Loses is a Survival-type Sprunki mod in which every character’s appearance reflects what has happened to them. Some become stronger or find a better position, others are injured, defeated, or killed, and a smaller group takes on dangerous EXE forms.

The title is intentionally written as “Betters and Loses.” It does not describe a conventional win-or-lose gameplay system. Instead, Betters and Loses are labels used to explain the status and fate of different characters inside the mod’s storyline.

Garnold and OWAKCX serve as central protagonists, while Brud is identified as the character who begins the events of the story. Their conflict leads into later versions, including Betters and Loses Phase 2, Phase 3, and Phase 4.

The Three Character Fates

Betters

Betters are characters whose condition, power, or position has improved in some way. A Better is not necessarily completely safe or heroic, but the character has gained an advantage compared with others in the same timeline.

Loses

Loses are characters who have suffered defeat, serious injury, death, or another negative outcome. Their damaged appearances help communicate how dangerous the survival conflict has become.

EXE

EXE characters represent a more corrupted and threatening state. Simon.exe, Wenda.exe, and Black.exe replace the ordinary versions of these characters in the main roster. Their sounds and designs give the composition a stronger digital-horror atmosphere.

Create a 140 BPM Survival Mix

The core gameplay uses the familiar drag-and-drop Sprunki format. Select a character icon, place it onto an available performer, and listen as its looping sound joins the track. Each new placement also reveals the character’s Betters and Loses design.

The game runs at approximately 140 BPM, making it slower than many of the later Phase-based horror mods. This gives you more time to identify individual sounds and build the composition gradually.

Although the soundtrack is associated with C major, its atmosphere is far from cheerful. Distorted voices, unsettling effects, intense animations, and the visual condition of the characters transform the major-key foundation into something tense and disturbing.

Some playable versions allow as many as nine performers to be active in the same mix. You can use all available positions for a dense horror composition or choose a smaller lineup so that every sound remains easy to hear.

The standard cast contains 20 performers divided into the familiar Sprunki sound categories:

• Beats: Oren, Raddy, Clukr, Fun Bot, and Vineria.
• Effects: Gray, Brud, Garnold, OWAKCX, and Sky.
• Melodies: Mr. Sun, Durple, Mr. Tree, Simon.exe, and Tunner.
• Vocals: Mr. Fun Computer, Wenda.exe, Pinki, Jevin, and Black.exe.

Simon, Wenda, and Black appear in EXE forms, immediately separating this mod from a standard Sprunki character lineup. Other performers show different levels of injury, aggression, survival, or transformation.

Bonus Characters

Sprunki Betters and Loses also includes six documented bonus performers:

• Tinky-Winky
• Hans
• Cluka
• Moch

These bonus characters introduce additional sounds and visual references beyond the standard roster. Test them with Garnold, OWAKCX, Brud, and the EXE performers to create combinations that emphasize different parts of the survival storyline.

Betters and Loses communicates much of its story through visual details rather than long dialogue. Blood, missing body parts, weapons, damaged equipment, altered expressions, and EXE features reveal which characters have survived and which have suffered a worse fate.

The gallery and character designs include particularly graphic outcomes for Clukr, Durple, Tunner, and Moch. This makes the mod significantly more violent than the ordinary Sprunki music game and helps explain why its three fate categories are so important.

The story does not end with the first game. Later phases change the characters’ status as Simon.exe becomes more important and the conflict between surviving, defeated, and corrupted characters continues.
